The Cooking Conversions Game - Practice Kitchen Measurement Equivalents
Welcome to the Cooking Conversions Game! Sharpen your cooking skills by mastering kitchen equivalents.
The goal is to accurately convert and measure cooking units such as teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, and more to answer the questions correctly.
Here's how to play:
Instructions:
- The game can be played using a mouse or a touchscreen.
- Press the Play Game button to begin playing the game.
- A question will appear above the white play area.
- The white play area is divided into two sections. On the left, you'll see a visual representation of the quantity and unit you need to convert from. The question above will specify the target unit you need to convert to.
- Using your mouse or finger, click or tap and hold the correct target unit located below the white play area. Then, drag and drop it into the right section of the white play area, one unit at a time.
- Once you think you've transferred the correct number of units to the play area, click or tap the Submit Answer button below.
- You can remove units from the play area by double-clicking or double-tapping them.
- When you drag and drop a fl oz, cup, pint, quart, or gallon into the play area, they will be full by default. Once placed, you can adjust the amount by clicking or tapping on the unit and, while holding your mouse button or finger down, moving up to increase or down to decrease the amount of content.
- Each correct answer earns you points, which are displayed on the left side of the Results Bar.
- Points are awarded based on the following table.

- Each time you correctly answer 5 questions, you will advance to the next level. Your current level is indicated in the Results Bar.
- The timer is represented to the right of the score in the Results Bar. As time passes, the bar will get shorter.
- If you have not submitted your answer when the time runs out, you will receive a strike.
- For each incorrect answer, you will receive a strike. After three strikes, the game is over. The number of strikes you have received is indicated on the right side of the Results Bar.
- Click the Settings button to adjust your preferences for the game.
- Timer: By default, the timer is on. Turn Off if you want to have unlimited time to submit your answer.
- Sounds: By default, the sounds are on. Turn Off to disable all game sounds.
- Unit size: You can select small to include only teaspoons, tablespoons, fl oz, and cups in the game. Select Large to include only pints, quarts, and gallons. The default setting is All, which includes both small and large units.
- All the settings will revert to default and your score will reset if you refresh your browser.
